New Cotford Hotel website launches

Thursday, April 4th, 2013

We’ve worked with the Cotford Hotel, a luxury boutique hotel based in Malvern, Worcestershire, for many years now and have just relaunched their website following a period of refurbishment.

Featuring brand new photography, a refreshed layout and new pages highlighting each of the individually designed rooms, the new website really highlights the hotel’s unique look-and-feel and personal approach.

Alongside the hotel is L’amuse-Bouche restaurant, which offers French-style food in a quaint English setting. The restaurant has been awarded 2 Rosettes by the AA and has a fantastic reputation. We made use of large imagery of both the food and the restaurant itself to convey the experience of dining in the restaurant, integrating comments from satisfied customers throughout.

They also wanted to promote the use of the hotel as a wedding reception venue so we added a new section to reflect this with tailored content and imagery.

We’re really happy with how the new website has taken shape and look forward to watching it grow as the hotel continues to do so.

Good sports…

Wednesday, April 3rd, 2013

We’ve been working with school uniform suppliers Price & Buckland since 2011 on a number of brand projects, the latest of which is their new school sportswear catalogue. As part of the ongoing expansion of their sportswear offering, they wanted to promote new additions to the range to position them as quality suppliers of performance sportswear. We developed a sub-brand, photography and catalogue design that worked with the existing brand templates but that also had its own identity with a sportier, more technical feel.

Online Marketing for Upton Square

Wednesday, October 17th, 2012

Upton Square LogoAs part of our ongoing relationship with Metropolitan, we’ve recently started an online marketing campaign for Upton Square, promoting their houses in Northampton for sale.

Comprising both Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and Pay Per Click Advertising (PPC), the campaign is designed to raise their profile as Northampton house providers for the first time buyer, offering a range of shared ownership schemes.

At Michon, we aim to use online marketing as part of our integrated marketing approach, which in this case includes outdoor and print advertising alongside web-based activities. As part of an ongoing campaign to both raise profile and directly encourage visitors to the site, we’ll be closely monitoring the success of our activities using Google Analytics, to inform and develop where we focus our attentions.

If you’d like to find out more about how online marketing could work for your business, give us a call on 0115 933 1000.

E.ON’s CEO launches the Bolton Smart Meter Centre of Excellence

Wednesday, August 29th, 2012

Back in February, we were asked to develop the Smart Meter Centre of Excellence for the new team at E.ON’s Bolton site.

Since the opening of its first centre in Nottingham in 2011, and a mailing we produced in customer trials, smart meter enquiries have increased by 300%. The launch of the Bolton centre was to keep up with growing demand.

The creative followed the Smart Environment Guidelines we’d developed for the first centre, although the photography was all updated from the photo shoots we did earlier in the year.

The space needed to be clearly defined as ‘smart’ to differentiate it from the rest of the building and use inspirational messages to motivate colleagues. We were asked to accommodate 78 desks, incorporate a separate 12-seater meeting area, create screening for the vending and recycling area, and brand a stairwell and meeting room. We also developed a demo pod, which allows the team to get hands-on with the smart meters and the display unit customers use at home.

Tony Cocker, E.ON’s CEO, opened the centre a few weeks ago and the client was thrilled with the results.

Hanson deliver a winning service to customers during the Olympics

Friday, August 10th, 2012

We recently created two brochures for Hanson to address any concerns their customers may have over the supply of various products into London while the Olympics are on. The brochures showcase their capabilities during the busy period and what they’re doing to make sure customers continue to get a great service for supply of ready mix concrete and aggregates. They also encourage customers to ‘plan ahead with Hanson’ to help keep any disruptions to a minimum.

Hanson have been involved in the construction of the Olympic Park, Lee Valley White Water Centre and the Weymouth and Portland sailing venue since 2007. And they’re now making the most of the new venues by treating some of their lucky customers to a VIP Olympics experience, which we have created a new invitation pack for.
