Cats with thumbs – terrifying or genius?

Cravendale has produced one of the most entertaining adverts of recent times with this little journey into an alternate universe where cats have finally developed opposable thumbs and can now rightfully take over the world! Add a suitably ominous soundtrack and a fantastic voiceover by Tim Curry and they’re on to a winner!

As is seemingly the norm these days, the idea goes far beyond a single TV ad as you can follow the gang leader Bertrum through his own Twitter feed ( http://twitter.com/#!/bertrumthumbcat) or on his Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/bertrumthumbcat). A particularly nice feature is the ability to ask a question about what Thumbcats can or can’t do, which is then answered by video on Youtube. For example, can Thumbcats play poker? Here’s the answer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ueTTgPwNxc.

Good stuff indeed.

The cakes are on Leon… Or is it the other way round?

It’s our studio manager Leon’s birthday today and as a little surprise for him his wife arranged for a delivery of some special birthday cakes to the office. Using his now famous Movember photo they went down like hot cakes, even though they were cold! You can get your own from www.caketoppers.co.uk.

Who says there’s no such thing as a free lunch?

Yesterday was a very big day in the office as we had a visit from one of our favourite brands, Innocent. And even better than that, they bought us a selection of their fantastic veg pots for our lunch.

Innocent have received almost universal praise for their fresh, honest and customer-friendly approach to their branding, advertising and packaging. From TV and press ads through to the little messages and comments found on their labels, website and blogs, Innocent really have captured everyone’s imagination and caused a mini-revolution in how brands relate to their customers.

After a rush not seen since Christmas Eve on Oxford Street, the veg pots were soon snapped up, but not before we took a few pictures:
